Father's Day Fun

My husband is not too big on the "Hallmark holidays", but he was game for getting out and about for a little while yesterday!  Such fun weekend...  Saturday was birthday festivities for Ma-lak, and Sunday we had a beautiful church service, and then headed to the mall for a bit.  Daryle got some badly needed summer clothes, and we did a little sneaky shopping for birthday boy coming up later this month (only one more to go!)
I love Rea in this color!  So pretty!
Ya'shar and I, waiting for our drinks
 My girls

We ended the afternoon at BJ's - a favorite place of our family - we love their Pizzookies!!!!  Happy Father's Day to my amazing husband!!  Thank you for such a fun weekend, but mostly for the beautiful family that I treasure!

Happy 11th Birthday, Ma-lak!!!!

Happy Birthday, my son!  Can't believe another year goes by and you are now 11!  You are SO smart and fun and thoughtful.  I can't wait to see what great and amazing plans the Lord has for you in the next years!
We started off the morning with making Ma-lak's cupcakes! I  love that the girls were with me in the kitchen all morning - they did a great job!

Yeah, so this wasn't a planned part of the day.....  Stopped at Target to make a return and when I pulled into my parking spot I managed to hit a Mini Cooper in the spot next to me.  How does my big Yukon have MORE damage?  Aaaaahhhhhh...... (sigh)  So grateful for only a fender bender.  We moved on and headed to the park!
World Cup contenders?!  These guys love to be outside and playing any kind of sports imaginable.  Love that they have their little teams!

Yes, that'd be Princess Ni'ke, the only child at the park in a floor length "gown".  And no one thought to make sure she at least had on some biker shorts or something underneath.  We fixed that pretty quick.

I thought these were fun, in keeping with the aquatic sea creature theme in honor of the summer of SCUBA diving.  Thank you, Aunt Mandy for the great idea! (They took the rest to swim practice today and they were a huge hit!)

 Our best "fishy faces"

 Daddy and his babies!

What's a great party without our favorite garlic Tuscan chicken pizza with feta cheese, bacon and tomatoes!

 Dive watch from Daddy
Yes, he got his very own box of cereal!  He reminds me so much of my brothers when we were young - they would seriously eat an entire box or two for one breakfast!  And I remind myself of my mother, who hid boxes of cereal under her bed, trying to prevent us from "going to the poor house."  HAHA!
Ma-lak got his own Kindle Fire this year.  He and Rea have been emailing each other non-stop.  Oh technology.

My favorite picture.... :)

A Decade of Sunshine!

How can she be 10 already?!  My little Rea Sunshine....  WOW!  How you are growing into a beautiful young lady right before our eyes.
We started our little party outside since the weather has been so gorgeous, but moved inside because it cooled off and was getting dark sooner than we thought!  Bad planning and dinner timing on Mommy's part. (And most of the balloons popped.... BOO!)

 My girls....

So.  I didn't make Rea's cake.  It's kind of a sore subject....  (I thought I would have zero time to do it since I was working so much last week.  But paying for a cake that was waaaaay more simple than the what I asked for and KNOWING I could have made one just as nice or better kind of rankled me!)  Lesson learned, that's all I can say!  :)  The cake is in celebration of Rea getting certified in SCUBA diving this summer!

Beach paraphanalia!  (I know I did not spell that right).
