I can't believe this young man is 10.... Has it really been an entire DECADE ago that I gave birth to him and his brother?? I'm amazed everyday by the grace of God and the love and favor that He has shown to us. Thank you for the blessing of this child in our lives!
I dropped Daryle and the kiddos off at the movies to get their Superman fix while I did some grocery shopping. I "ate lunch" at Costco (i.e. sampled every item the food vendor ladies were handing out) and even managed to take it all home and unload it before I picked them back up from the movies. David was in the city all day and got home in time for dinner! While Daryle took the little ones to swim practice, I got my "candy" on and decorated the cake!! We went with a sports theme, as Ma-lak LOVES to play any kind of game/sports activity - you name it. He had an unfortunate incident a couple months ago where his basketball was stolen at the park, so when my mom was out visiting last month, she got him a new one for an early birthday gift!
My sweet little babies! Or not so little...
I dug these little football picks out of a cupboard today! I had forgotten that I had them, I think I got them for the Superbowl party earlier this year and never used them - but they came in handy today! Sloppy Football Joes!!
Since I had so much fun with Skittles for Rea's birthday last week, I thought I'd try my hand with Reese's Pieces... Cute and simple and fun, and I think it actually looks like a basketball... Does it?!?!
The kids were so cute, they all wanted to sit by the birthday boy, so they were all crammed together on one side of the table!
Happy Birthday, Ma-lak! How I love making more memories with you.... I'm sure the next 10 years will go by as fast as the first, and may they be filled with just as much love and joy as the first 10!
