Well Rea finally lost her tooth last week, without all the drama I was expecting actually! Turns out Captain Crunch is a good way to expedite the process... (I think I remember loosing a few with the "Grape Nuts method" when I was a kid!)
Ma-lak's took him a little longer. A few days ago he asked me, "Mommy, can you help me?" When I asked him with what, he said, "I need you to get my tooth out with your tongue." MY tongue? "Yeah, I've been trying to push it out with MY tongue, but it's not working! Can we use yours?" Ewwww. I just left that one with, "Uh, it'll come out when it's ready!"
Today I picked him up from school, and he calmly told me, "My tooth is missing." I was all excited and asked hiim all about it, and he nonchalantly explained that he left it at school in the carpet because that's where he put it. On the floor. Because he didn't want it. OK..... ("Um, Mrs. Corwin, this is Ma-lak's Mom, and I'm calling because you might find a bloody tooth in your classroom on the carpet where your students sit and listen to you read to them. Yes, that's right, just buried there in the carpet. Yep. Ok, bye...") sigh
