California Academy of Sciences Home School Day!

The kids and I enjoyed a perfect sunny day in San Francisco today!  Once a year, the museum welcomes home school families at a discount price, which is awesome because it's usually $30/person, and we got in for $6.95/each!  I've heard great things about this place, and it didn't disappoint.  SO much to see and do, and there's nothing better than knowing your children are learning AND having fun do so.  A favorite exhibit was the Shake House where we got to feel the same strength of earthquake as the Great SF earthquake of 1906, and the one in 1989 in Loma Prieta.  Horrifying.

We went to the aquarium twice.  Ni'ke loved the colorful fish, and Ma-lak wanted to see every snake in the building, twice...  Nice albino gator.

The rain forest was beautiful, but very VERY warm and muggy.  Of course....  And they proceeded to strip off layers of clothing!

Enjoyed an outdoor lunch and they got to run around with some of the other kids they know in the home school program here in Santa Rosa at Matanzas Charter School.

Lions!!! Everyone make your best "I'm scared!" faces!

Feeding the sharks and manta rays
Loved the living roof, great views of the city!

 Ya'shar's favorite exhibit - the t-rex!
