Pier 39 San Francisco!

What a great week! Last week we were blessed with a visit from my sister and her two kids. And we could NOT have had a more perfect week! The weather was gorgeous and warm, the kids had a blast playing with new play-mates, and my sister and I just pick up where we leave off... :)

The timing of their flight coming in last week worked great with school schedule. I dropped the kids off at school and got on the freeway, their flight was on time, and we spent a couple hours at Pier 19 and had lunch before getting home to get the kids.

Rare Quiet Time

So the big question of the week was, "So do we still have to do home work? We have company you know." Um, yes. :) Mandy is home-schooling Levi, and my four had plenty to do, so we tried to make sure they had a bit of structured down time every day. Very difficult. This is probably the quietest my house ever got!

Front Yard Fun!

Huge disappointment when we went to the pool..... It was CLOSED for a water polo match!!!! That was rough, taking 6 very excited children back home after promising them swim time. So we improvised and turned on the lawn sprinklers and let 'em have at it!!!! What else do you do when it's 95 degrees and the pool is closed?!
