The Smiths Learn to Sail!

Our next big adventure starts in March with the Little Smiths taking sailing lessons at Treasure Island in San Francisco!  (Mom is going to try wind surfing and paddle boarding, because hey, why not?!?!  Stayed tuned!  Things are about to get aquatic!!!!

The Diva Curl Cut!!!!

 For a couple years I've been taking the girls to La Chaise Rouge for a special "curly" haircut - it's always a fun little mother-daughter day and the end result is that their hair is "healthied up" and more manageable and they feel like pampered princesses!  Friday I took them in - the anticipation nearly wrecked them, they'd been looking forward to this for months!!  Ni'ke doesn't look happy in this particular picture for some reason, but she was all smiles.  Julie let the girls play "beauty salon" and wash each others hair in the shampoo bowl.  :) 

Meet Maddie and Carlos, the owner's dogs!  They provided great entertainment to two little girls who aren't too used to being around dogs!

 Yes, those noise makers were SUCH a great idea!.....   :)  We had to cut them off after awhile for sanity's sake.  What a fun week it's been!  I was thrilled to have a 5-day weekend off over New Years, and it was a nice quiet, low-key affair.  (Except for the noise-makers of course!)   We played lots of games, watched movies and football and I baked and cooked!  Just like we like it...

Baby Amelia Has Arrived!!

 Our dear friends, Chris and Giuliana finally welcomed their long-awaited little girl last week!!  How special that she came on her daddy's birthday!!!!  Miss Amelia Ross weighed in at 7 # and 4 oz and was 20 inches long!  She's healthy and well and beautiful, and she and mommy are both great and home now!  We are so happy for you and can't wait to watch her grow up in a home so full of love for her!

 I love that Chris grew out his beard while his wife was growing their baby.....  Love you guys!!
